Subject: National Sales tax Comment: I just read in the newspaper that the panel has rejected the idea of a national retail sales tax. I think that is a big mistake. The national retail sales tax is a great idea to replace the currrent income tax system which wastes days of my time with record keeping. As an aside I had no idea there was a tax reform panel until I saw this article in the paper about rejecting the retail sales tax idea. I believe you will find many people like myself who have never been involved in government before who will become very active if the retail sales tax is not given a fair chance at being debated and considered.
