Subject: National Retail Sales Tax Comment: I just wanted to add my opinion to the masses about the National Retail Sales Tax. I am in favor of this proposal by Rep. John Linder. It is the best option. It will encourage savings, as well as tax all forms of income either legal or otherwise. With the rebate of taxes on the basic necessities, the people at the poverty level will not pay any income tax. They will also receive their full paychecks, so they will have the money to survive when they need it, not on a yearly pay out at tax time. Thank you for listening to my comments, please consider the National Retail Sales Tax carefully. Remember the current system started out as a flat tax, and has grown to the monstrosity that it is. Keep it simple, and keep it fair. |
