Subject: problems with income tax

Comment: Personally, the problems I have with the income tax are:

1. I live in California and make more money, and am thus taxed at a higher rate, but the cost of living is so high that my comparative wage is less than many people. So it is not fair that i pay more taxes.

2. I am extremely thrifty and would be able to do well and support my family, but it is much more difficult when 25% of my money is taken. I would be much better off if there was a sales tax and I could set my own tax rate by deciding to spend less. The savings would help me buy a home and support my family.

3. I am disinclined to start small business ventures in my part-time because I don't want to deal with the hassle of keeping track of everything for income tax purposes.

4. I had to spend a good chunck of every weekend in March doing taxes. I was trying to build a website to sell goods online (helping grow GDP) but was sidetracked for a whole month dealing with taxes.

Those are my main problems with it. I already posted a general comment regarding my support for a fairtax combined with high estate taxes and income tax only on those making over 300k or so as I think that would be the best way to promote investment, productivity, fairness, and equality.
