Subject: Support FairTax! Comment: You have failed us. I understand that 90% of the comments you have received were in support of the FairTax to replace the current horrible, repressive, inefficient tax code. It supresses our economy, drives corporations (and, therefore, jobs) out of the country. It punishes the very things we need in our economy, which is productivity and business development. Your suggestions will cause people to loose jobs. We can no longer afford "business as usual" in Washington. Instead of submitting the suggestions which your preliminary report covers, do us a favor and just disband. It can't get much worse. WE NEED THE FAIRTAX! Elmer Smith |
