Subject: Tax Simplification Comment: I was reading an AP story today saying that President Bush's Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform has been surprised at the number of tax deductions and credits. I would be interested to know if this panel is looking at Master Limited Partnerships. These allow certain energy companies to operate like a corporation but get the tax benefits of a partnership. It is not fair that only certain companies be allowed this partnership treatment and others not able to get it. So it is not fair and complicates the law and should be removed. |
