Subject: Fair Tax

Comment: Dear Panel,

I founded a company two years ago after being in corporate America for over 25 years. I am an accounting major so I do understand the impact of our current tax system to individuals as well as corporate America. I would strongly urge the panel to consider doing away with our current system completely. I would propose the implementation of a national sales tax. I have a specific plan in mind called fairtax or FairTax Bill HR 25/S25. This plan would protect the poor by returning all sales tax below the poverty level. Additionally, this tax would grow our economy significantly and would allow U.S. companies to be competitive globally with U.S. labor. Today approximately 30% of all products and services created in the United States is burden with paying and compliance of our current income tax system. This places businesses of all sizes at a great disadvantage and is one of the primary reasons jobs have been outsourced overseas. Please for the sake of our Republic change the current system it is slowly killing our country.

Sincerely,

Earl T. Winter
