Subject: Potential Tax Reforms Comment: I am a middle class taxpayer that would be financially hit hard by the proposed tax reforms. The proposal to eliminate state and local tax deductions and limit the home mortgage deduction to %15 would be an immediate, tax increase form myself and my family. I pay over $30,000 in mortgage interest and $12,000 in state and local taxes such as state income taxes and property tax. California is already an overtax state and this would fiscally be a death blow to the middle class in CA. |
