Subject: Replace Income tax and IRS

Comment: Dear Respected Panel Members,

I am writing to ask you to think about completely chaning the current tax system. The only proposal I think we as Americans can all truly agree on is a progressive national sales tax similar to, or exatly like, that being proposed by The FairTax organization and some members of Congress. In this system EVERYONE pays. If you want to pay less taxes you simply buy LESS. Poorer people will get a rebate up to the poverty line. No one will have to worry about business, corporate, wage, tip, or inherited incomes. No one will pay income tax, estate tax or gift tax. Hopefully, if the U.S. Federal Government adopts this program some states will adopt similar programs to replace their income and property taxes. The real issue is that we need to get back to the Constitutional limits for the Federal Government. But until that happens, and until an amendment for a balanced budget is had, we must do something to give people an easier way to pay their taxes AND an easier way to really see what the government is costing them. I really like this idea and have written my representative in Congress about it. It is time for fundamental tax reform NOW. Please consider this proposal as the ONLY common sense proposal that is fair to all.

Thank you very much.
