Subject: Possible Tax on employee benefits

Comment: I just finished reading a brief article in the Employee Benefits News that states the President's Advisory Panel on Tax Reform is considering taxing individuals on the value of their employer-sponsored health coverage. This would be tragic for so many American's. It is not uncommon for a family to pay near $100/week for medical coverage. By the time they reach their deductible and then copays for the plan year, a family could easily have $8000 out of pocket under high deductible plans. If these people make under $40k/yr, they will be devasted to have the government add on another tax.
