Comment: We strongly favor adoption of a national salestax, a flat 10%. The tax on food might be 5% to favor the poor in our nation. The rich woulf in effect be paying a higher tax rate because the wealthy buy more , and usually higher priced items. We favor a tax on all business transactions such as securities trades, real estate, business mergers, etc. All charitable gifts are documented and the the recipient of the gift pays a flat 10% on it. These are only a few suggestions but PLEASE do something to simply the burdensome task pf preparing income tax papers each year. It is costing us $250 each year for a tax preparer.
