Subject: Tax Reform - Fair Tax & Flat Tax Comment: I believe the panel would be wrong not to investigate the ideas of a flat tax and/or a fair tax (a.k.a. consumption tax). The current code is too long and complex for anyone to understand and work with. Putting another band-aid over something that is already patched together does not make sense. Secondly, removing the mortgage tax exclusion is a terrible idea. |
