Subject: Tax Reform Comment: Due to the financial and economic mess the Bush Administration has caused in this country, it is imperative that the people receive some relief in the form of tax reform. I strongly urge you to adopt the FairTax proposal; whereby, we have a consumer tax instead of the complicated system we now have that benefits only the richest Americans. I am retired and sick and tired of paying tax on my little savings, retirement, social security and investments year-after-year. The money was taxed when I initially earned it. The little interest earned(thanks to Bush) is taxed again. We need relief or the people had better vote in a new bunch of Congressmen that have the interest of the American people at heart instead of their own pocketbooks and their friends. We, the people, have had enough! |
