Subject: Fair Tax Comment: The way I see this is if the tax were placed on consumption instead of income everybody would be forced to pay, this would include illegal aliens coming into the country for our standard of living but not paying taxes. No one class would be harmed since only what you buy will be taxed and those at or below the poverty level would get a rebate to cover their consumption spending. Plus the elimination of tax shelters to me it looks like a win/win situation. |
