Subject: nothing new in DC Alzheimers still rampant.

Comment: You people need to get out of the beltway and into the real world. Your idea of "tax reform" is like putting lipstick on a pig, it still stinks and makes funny noises. Dismissing the HR 25 without investigation or consideration ranks up there with the Warren
Commisison magic bullet and the 9/11 commission omissions. Can you keep a straight face in front of the press and make those same remarks? Do you people really look at yourself in the mirror every morning?

What the people want and need is a complete overhaul of our tax system. It should be fair. It should eliminate social engineering via tax incentives or disincentives. It should eliminate high priced lobbying of Congress for special tax deals for special interest groups. It should apply to all persons equally, currently only those that make a certain income are required to file a return, why? Like any law it should be clear and concise and be administered equally to all. The new tax reform should clearly spell out how much tax people are paying and not be hidden in multiple and cascading taxes. The people have a right to know how much they are paying for their government with each payment. Each time a tax is collected a receipt should be issued with the amount of the tax paid. The tax system should be simple enough that at least one member of Congress can complete his own tax return without professional help, and when 50 different paid professional accountants do the same return they come up with one correct answer not 50 different wrong answers.

I support a consumption tax which will fairly tax those that use and conserve resources, not those that waste them. The National Retail Sales Tax is not perfect but about a thousand times better than the feed that has already travelled through the bull that we are stuck with now.
