Subject: Fair Tax Bill

Comment: During his last campaign, President Bush stressed the need for reform of this country’s burdensome and oppressive tax system. I couldn’t agree with him more. After research and a great deal of reflection, it seems to me that most efficient, most effective, and certainly fairest means of reforming the tax system is the Fair Tax Bill (S.25 and H.R. 25).

This bill serves the purpose of collecting the same amount of tax we currently collect. It promotes business and job growth. It brings back US companies that have moved offshore. It levels the playing field for our country in international markets. It treats poor people better than our current income tax. As an individual taxpayer in this country, I can’t imagine anything better than doing away with the complicated, confusing, and even fearful yearly chore of filing with the IRS. All of these advantages…and we still collect the same amount to run government!

I've never been a single issue (or single party) voter. The Fair Tax Bill, however, addresses so many issuesthat it could be the determining factor in how I vote in the future.
