Subject: tax reform Comment: Please simplify the process of filing income tax. It is way too complicated for most people to do their own and they must pay someone to prepare their return for them. If it has to be this complex then the government should do the paper work for us for free. Can't there just be a straight % tax on what you earned? No deductions, no credits; just "this is what you earned...this % is the tax you owe, either they kept too much out of your pay and here is your refund or they didn't take enough out and this is what you need to pay." |
