Comment: Gentlemen: The recent stock market crash caused extraordinary long term capital gains losses in a short space of time. Those losses can only be amoritized at $3,000 per year. Gains, on the other hand, are fully taxed in the year realized. This imbalance is causing those tax payers in or near retirement a real hardship.
