Subject: FairTax Comment: As a person who is math challenged, I am fortunate that my husband can do our taxes for us, using Turbo Tax. I would not be able to use this software or even be able to fill out a tax form properly. Since my husband is much older than I, it is inevitable that he will die before I will--putting me in the position of having to handle my own tax forms. What with the complexity of the tax code, I will be fearful that I might do something wrong and subsequently lose my home and property. For this reason, I hope and pray that a simplified FairTax will be enacted that will totally eliminate the annual filing of tax forms. |
