Would be Neutral at 23% rate: - The plethora of studies shows it IS in fact revenue neutral- see Tom Wright's data 2. The structure to implement it is already in place: - 45/50 states currently use a state sales tax, FairTax would be similar 3. Easier enforcement than current system or other alternatives: - The number of tax filers would drop by 90%, and the majority of these collecting the tax on a retail level would be the larger retailers who would find it very difficult to cheat |
