Subject: Interest Rate Deductions

Comment: As a Realtor and a Homeowner in the San Francisco Bay Area, having the interest deductions benifit is an important tool, not only in selling homes but also making it affordable for myself. My clients are usually first time home owners, who have just enough income to qualify to purchase a home. Figuring the deductions into the equasion when qualifying a client is a normal practice, and without it, a large percentage of my clients would not be able to afford being a homeowner.

If you take away the deductions, fewer americans will be able to afford to be homeowners, and the richest of the Americans will ultimately profit by purchasing dwellings, forcing the not-so -rich to be their renters.

I feel that taking away these deductions will be a great mistake and America will not be better for it.

How about we we put a cap on the profits that the oil geizers can make and take a little money out of the pockets of bush and his buddies pockets. THere are so many Americans who are working the system and not paying their fair share, and those are the areas that you need to be concentrating on. Dont spoil the American dream for the middle and lower class Americans, for without their dreams, this country is no better than any other.
