Subject: Earned vs. Unearned Income

Comment: As a citizen and lawyer I am deeply concerned about tax fairness. It seems to me that one imporant area is to insure that unearned income is taxed the same as earned income. What most people fail to realize, especially those who promote flat tax schemes, is that rich people don't work--they simply have their money. The tax burden should be shared by both capital and labor.

Additionally, small business owners are really burdened by the 15% self-employment tax, which, when added to other taxes takes a huge bite out of revenues.
