Subject: tax return Comment: I believe the proposal to have the Federal Government (Internal Revenue Service) prepare individual tax return is another way for the Government to intrude in the private lives of the people. If we are considering a flat tax or a national sales tax, then why not eliminate the Internal Revenue Service. This would save the Government billions of dollars a year in wages and benefits. The savings in office space and upkeep would be in the billion-dollar range. |
