Subject: Federal Tax Code

Comment: Despite the fact that I work in the life insurance industry, and sell a variety of products designed to pay estate taxes upon the death of the insured, I believe we need to get rid of the entire current federal tax system and replace it with a national sales tax, such as the one proposed at 23%. Leaving a federal tax on income in place would only present future opportunities for increased complexities, something any governmental agency is good at. A simple federal sales tax would be much easier to administer and would be fairer for all.
