Subject: What a joke! Comment: Like our current government, it’s clear this panel has largely ignored the opinions of the very citizens affected by any decision it makes. This notion of tax reform amounted to little more than window dressing designed to create the illusion that 2 former Senators, a Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, an Investment Strategist and other so called experts could look beyond their own self-interests, other self-interested parties, the political lobby, and other elites to honestly and vigorously debate the merits of true tax reform. Instead, we have been witness to a typical D.C. circle jerk conducted at taxpayer expense. This panel has done nothing more than line their pockets with 10 months of (non-taxable) per-diem, while ensuring governments choke hold on the wage-earners of this country remain secure and intact. This exercise is yet another shining example of how our government could care less what we think as long as they have the means to reach into our pockets every payday. This exercise is but another shining example of how the people of this country have lost control of their servant government. We are now the servants. We are now the slaves of a government bordering on tyrannical. It’s time to send a very LOUD and very CLEAR message to Washington – “We are no longer going to tolerate your crap.” Citizens of America. It’s time we send some people packing !!! |
