Subject: Social Security Taxes

Comment: Thank you for giving me a chance to comment.

Once a person has opted to start social security benefits then further social security taxes should cease.

For example, I paid social security taxes during my working years starting at age 16 until I was 62 at which time I decided to retire and begin social security benefits. The amount of the benefit I received was determined by a formula based on my age and the taxes I paid during my working years. No further tax payments will ever alter the benefit I receive. I have taken some part time work to supplement my social security benefit. I was shocked to find out that this part time work is still subject to social security taxes although none of these taxes will have any effect on my benefits. This should be changed.
