Subject: Taxing Health Care Comment: As a Human Resourse Manager, dealing with the rising Health Care cost and the burden it places on employees who are sharing in a larger portion of the cost, taxing their benefit would force some employees to drop their coverage shifting the cost to goverment agencies such as welfare. This would also shift and increase medical cost to those employers/employees that continue to provide for and pay the cost of health care. By taxing Health Care it will have a domimo effect that will drive medical cost up to a point where only a few employers will offer the benefit and the goverment will have to bare the responsibility of providing benefits to the uninsured. The redirection of tax to Health Care will have a long lasting effect on a major portion of the population. I urge you to vote agains any such legislation. |
