Subject: Have you no common sense?

Comment: Ladies and Gentlemen of the Tax Reform Panel

Had this panel been advising the signatories of our Declaration of Independence, the Union Jack would still be flying high over the government buildings of this land. You cannot possibly believe you have accomplished anything substantive for this nation. How pathetic! I can only conclude your proposed ‘recommendations’ are a result of personal financial and political gain.

It is time to end the practice of collecting federal revenues based on one's ability to produce income. Income-based revenue models naturally divide societies into "us vs. them" categories and serve only to perpetuate economic class warfare in it's citizenry. Our current tax code will only continue to divide this nation. There is a better way. It's called HR25, The FairTax.

A consumption-based, national retail sales tax would ensure us all the opportunity to chase our uniquely American dreams—an impossibility when our current tax code denies us Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The FairTax legislation deserves your serious consideration. Anything less is a disservice to all Americans.

Sincerely,

Joseph Bryant
