Comment: Gentlemen: You have all heard of the FairTax. This complete change in our Federal Tax System is the answer to your dilemma! You should also listen to Lou Dobbs newscast at 6 PM on CNN. He has been discussing the outsourcing of American jobs and our porous borders for at least 6 months. And there is the famous Austrian economist, Kurt Richebacher, who says that the U.S. economy is not in as rosey a condition as our government and Wall Street might lead us to believe. We-- the government, corporations, and individuals have the highest debt loads in history (About $30 trillion). Rising interest rates, a sell off of U.S. stocks by foreigners because of the declining dollar, or a reluctance of foreign governments to continue investing in U.S. treasuries will eventually cause our economy to tank worse than the depression of the 1930's. THE FAIRTAX IS THE ANSWER TO THE ABOVE PROBLEMS IN MANY WAYS! 1. The FairTax will lower the cost of production for U.S. based manufacturing companies thus curbing outsourcing of jobs as a cost saving for companies. 2. The FairTax will collect 23% on purchases made by illegal aliens working in this country until the government wakes up and closes our Southern border. Thus, these illegals will help pay for our social security, education, and medical costs through their spending while in the U.S. 3. The FairTax will encourage saving because interest and dividends no longer will be taxed. This shift from a total consuming mindset to saving, investing, and consuming " when I want to pay taxes" mindset will help lower our debt load. 4. President Bush's latest quest to save social security will occur because spending by the "baby boomers" and, above all, foreign visitors to our country will deposit 23% of goods purchased in thr U.S. Treasury. You can tinker all you want with the present inefficient tax system, but you will never achieve anything as effective as the FairTax. As an additional benefit, many of the parasitic lobbyists, tax attorneys, tax accountants, the IRS, and tax preparers will be forced into productive occupations. That will probably free up at least 5 million workers for the new industries that will be clamoring to enter this tax haven to start businesses. Remember, the founders of our country 229 years ago took a chance and stood up for what was right for the future citizens of what became a great country. Now is your opportunity to make the patriotic move that will enable this country to move forward strongly into the future!! THAT MOVE IS THE FAIRTAX!
