Subject: Tax Reform Comment: It is a sad day in our great country when a panel is appointed with directions to go in a certain direction and totally ignore the instructions given to them by President Bush. Where is the simplification? How will what has been proposed take any of the burden off of the American people. Please try (I relize it is difficult) to come up with something that moves away from all the unproductive hours this country spends complying with the current federal tax code. The concern about the evasion with the Fair Tax will be less than our current system. It is currentlly simple to evade taxes. Ask the illegals and the drug dealers. Regards, Frank Presley |
