Subject: Supports FairTax

Comment: Taxing consumption makes far more sense than taxing income. Taxing anything has the effect of discouraging production of the taxed entity. Income taxes simply discourage the productive behavior generally required to produce income. Why would we want to do that? Considering how quickly many new products enter our landfills, a retail sales tax seems more appropriate. Nearly everyone agrees the overhead of the income tax is enormous. The overhead of a national sales tax would be almost negligible since collection mechanisms are already in place in many states. Tinkering with deductions and income tax rates will not do. We need real reform. Eliminate the income tax for both individuals and businesses.
