Subject: What about the Fair Tax! Comment: I have been victimized by the tax code before, not being able to decipher all the exceptions to every rule. Let's not keep making criminals out of taxpayers, the incentive is to cheat because it is mostly on the honor system that anyone files, especially if self-employed. Let's get more accountability by having others collect the taxes at the retail level, a process well understood and already in use in 45 of the 50 states. And let's repeal the 16th amendment once and for all. Taxing everyone at the same rate is the fairest of all the proposals, and the prebate makes the Fair Tax a macro machine for growth. Let's get free once again America! Let's tap into the underground economy and all visitors to our country, adopt the Fair Tax now. |
