Subject: Tax Reform Commission

Comment: I have two words for you: Fair Tax. The fact that you apparently rejected the idea out-of-hand, shows that you don't really understand it. READ THE FAIR TAX BOOK by Neal Boortz and Rep. John Linder of Georgia, and read HR25. Contrary to the belief of people who don't understand the bill, the Fair Tax will NOT penalize the poor (because of the monthly rebates built in to the system). We are currently subjected to an overly-complex tax code which many of us are probably violating without even knowing it, and even the most law-abiding and compliant among us are living in fear of the I.R.S. This should not be. The Fair Tax would be easy to collect, everyone would have to comply, and the average citizen would have more control over what he/she earns. Let's have some REAL reform, not just a do-nothing Band-Aid that just kicks the problem down the road for someone else to deal with it later.
