Subject: FairTax S/HR 25 Comment: I strongly endorse the FairTax initiative, S/HR 25, in its entirety and hope theat the panel will endorse it completely. As many people have stated over my life, if you want to make something unattractive, tax it and income is no different than anything else. If we make it easier and more attractive to invest and make money, that is what people will do. If there is more investment money available, businesses will find it easier and less expensive to expand or start up thus increasing the number of available jobs. All of the hidden costs of compliance and withholding will, eventually, be wrung out of the system and revenue generation will become much more transparent. The plan anticipates the potential burden on the lower income sector with a pre-bate of taxes for essetial items. Please approach this with an open mind and I believe you will find it a very promising plan. Thank you for your consideration. |
