Subject: Tax Reform Comment: A national sales tax should be put in place instead of the individual income tax system. The law abiding, working person is penalized while those living off ill-gotten gains (and don't declare said gains) get off without contributing a cent. Sales taxes would also catch illegal residents and international tourists. Food & drugs should be exempt from the tax. Those with more money spend more than those with less money so sales taxing should be equitable. |
