Subject: FairTax

Comment: If our current politicians won’t do anything to fix the tax code problem, why don’t we just elect officials that will? It’s quite clear that the majority of us want the FairTax. All we have to do is vote for politicians who also support it. Politicians, if you’re reading this, the FairTax book, which is a #1 best seller, has captured the attention of the American public. Support HR 25 and watch the votes come flying your way.

If an election was held today and the issue was “What kind of tax system should we have?” the FairTax would win by a landslide because it benefits the taxpayer in so many ways. If such an election were to happen, which I doubt will ever take place due to the simple fact that those with power don’t think the public should have a say in such matters, one would believe that those who earn their living tweaking the tax code and those who mooch off the system tax-free would come out in droves to vote against the FairTax because they stand to lose. I for one think the American public should have say in how to fund our government. Last I checked it’s our money, not the governments.

Note to the IRS: wouldn’t it be much more efficient to check the records of one Wal-Mart than it would be of all its customers? Implement the FairTax and that would be the case.

The current tax code was written for a different time when foreign trade was nearly non-existent. The code is beyond repair and is past its prime. It’s time to do away with this archaic and incompressible tax code and deliver to the American public a tax system that is both fair and pro growth to ALL Americans.
