Subject: A tax increase, are you kidding? Comment: A tax increase is the best this committee can do? What a disgrace and a waste of taxpayer money. How about a wholesale overhaul of our counterproductive tax system. A Flat tax or the Fairtax would be a good starting point. I can't believe that Eastern European countries, former Communist countries no less, can get it right and learn from the mistakes of other countries and design a system that is simple and works and yet all this committee can do is suggest limiting deductions in the current system.
