Subject: Advantages of a Flat Tqx Comment: It is my belief that the only viable prospect for a tax system that would be widely perceived as fair rests with a Flat personal income tax. By exempting those with incomes below a certain level from paying any income tax and levying the exact same income tax on all others above that level, the tax system would be totally transparent. Every one would know they are being treated the same as their neighbor. This utter simplicity would also foster compliance with a positive impact in Treasury revenue. This same simplicity would also remove an economic drag on the U.S. economy in the form of todays burdonsome tax system.
