Subject: We need to change the way things are done!

Comment: To Whom it concerns:
I would like to have us consider changing the way we fund our country. It has become standard practice to tax things we want less of, such as cigarettes, liquor, and for some, gasoline. We should not tax what we want more of, ie, legal income. Ill-gotten gain is already untaxed. We need to be able to fund the government by taxing consumption, something many states are already doing successfully. The advantages are many, including picking up the underground economy as it spends, and encouraging saving because the less one spends, the less tax he pays. It has built in checks and balances. Please consider scrapping the IRS for the Fair Tax now.
