Subject: Mortgage Interest Deductions

Comment: Dear Panel,
Our local paper carries a column by Argus Hamilton and in his column from 10-13-05 he states your panel urged limiting mortgage interest deductions to homes under three hundred fifty thousand dollars. How dare you, how dare you, how dare you. Who do you people think you are?? How much more do you want to take from the middle class? You take and take and now you want to take more. We have worked very very hard to get this house and make it what it is and now you want to punish us because it's not more expensive than $350,000.00. Do you actually know how many people this will affect? Do you? I know tons more people in our situation than those with more expensive homes. And here you are, penalizing us again. With President Bush's approval ratings at AN ALLTIME LOW, you now propose this. You panelists are not in touch with the real world and the middle class and those of us who work very very hard to make a decent life for ourselves. You should be ashamed for even proposing this. I am disgusted that our govenment could even think about this.
