Subject: FairTax Comment: As a middle class tax-paying citizen, who has always worked in the private sector, I would like to put in my two cents worth. I have read "The Fair Tax Book" and reviewed “The Fair Tax Bill”. It is the ONLY plan that completely relieves the poorest people in America from the Federal tax burden. It also would fulfill all the requirements of the Presidential mandate you were given and the only tax plan that would provide this country with long-term economic growth and development. It is the only hope my children have to enjoy the "Blessings of Liberty" that are ours by right of existence. Keep in mind that the rights of the people are inherent and not bestowed upon us by any man or government, not even ours. We as free citizens are tired of the burden of an income based tax system. I have seen some of the "ideas" that you have conceived. Let me just say that a tax raise is NOT the answer. Your ideas don't even come close to the goals you are supposed to achieve. It is unconscionable that you should resort to the old tax the rich mentality. It is a juvenile and spiteful position to take, not to mention mentally lazy. The Fair Tax is the ONLY solution that will be acceptable to the American people. |
