Comment: From: Greg Glass Sent: 21 April 2005 Subject: Tax Reform The current tax code is an absurd waste of time and money. From my understanding, there are billions of man hours spent each year preparing taxes, and even more billions of dollars spent on preparation costs. Even more ridiculous is the margin for error. With over 10,000 pages of code, no CPA, much less a civilian that's ignorant to tax laws, can possibly be expected to file without error every year. Something must be done to shorten the time, cost, and confusion of the current tax code. If that requires doing away with income tax altogether, so be it. I favor the Fair Tax Act, and see it as, well what it says it is, FAIR. Thank you, that is all. Truly, Gregory Glass Blinn College Student US Army Veteran |
