Subject: The Panel has Failed

Comment: The Panel has failed. Its mission was threefold: to reform the tax code to make it simpler, fairer, and more pro-growth to benefit all Americans. By dismissing the FairTax proposal (HR/SR 25), they have failed in all three goals. The FairTax would effectively eliminate the tax code--what could be simpler? The FairTax treats everyone the same--no exceptions--what could be more fair? The FairTax would reward saving, bring in untapped revenue from tourists and the underworld economy, and bring back corporate investment that has fled overseas to avoid our oppressive tax rate--what could be more pro-growth?

Instead, the panel has essentially recommended raising taxes. Thanks for nothing.
