Subject: Idea for tax reform Comment: Support the Fair Tax, or national retail sales tax. I believe the bill in the Senate is Bill 93. This is the answer to the complexity and punishment of our income tax. Taxing income at a marginally higher rate, while at the same time taxing returns on invested capital, is perhaps the worst way to fund government. A national consumption or retail tax would expand the tax base to take in virtually every person, thus driving down rates. The impediments to work and investment would be removed, and finally, our tax code would be "fair" if you support the Fair Tax. Thank You |
