Subject: Tax Reform Idea

Comment: I have a great idea. Eliminate Federal Income Tax and instead implement a small federal sales tax. (Keyword: SMALL) That way as an American, everyone is taxed equally and no one has more pull.

Considering the congress after WWI was greedy to begin with, and kept federal income tax going in the first place. It is illegal. Tell me how our government survived over 140 years without Federal Income Tax, and now it can't live without it. I'll tell you how, because back then States had more power, and it was up to the states to give services to its citizens. Now the states are bankrupt and the federal goverment is rolling in cash. I see a problem here. So, I repeat eliminate Federal Income Tax (in other words stop giving my money to people overseas in "foreign aid," I worked for that money, and I could sure use it to buy gas!) and institute a small federal sales tax. Make no mistake, eliminate income tax, not keep it and have a sales tax. The federal government is getting more greedy by the year, and the people will only put up with so much. I honestly believe that our founding fathers are turning in their graves. We honestly have taxation without representation. We are represented, but not the way we should be. If the American People are against something, how can the government go ahead with it? Remember For the People, By the People.

I love my country, I have ancestors and relatives that faught in the French and Indian Wars, Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish American War, World War I and II, Vietnam, Persian Gulf and Iraq and Afghanistan.

I am about as American as you can get. Knowing that at least 5 of my direct ancestors faught in the Revolutionary War gives me a profound sense of responsibility to protect what they faught for. Shame on the federal government for turning its back on the people. Remember this, without our ancestors sacrafices, we would still be part of England.

In terms of taxes today, I feel I share a connection with my ancestors. When Americans sue the government for a right to petition and the government replies that it cannot be sued because of Soverign rights, how is that any better than being ruled by a king?

Be warned, the people of this Great Country will only stand for so much.
