Subject: Taxing Health Care Premiums Comment: As an HR professional, I want to voice my strong opposition to any proposal that seeks to tax employer sponsored healthcare. Healthcare costs for both employee and employer have increased significantly over the past several years. It is becoming increasingly difficult for employers and employees to afford coverage as it is. It appalls (but does not surprise) me that there are actually people in congress (and elsewhere) who think increasing the cost of healthcare by taxing premiums through the legislative process is a viable idea. The end result of such folly would be more Americans with healthcare. |
