Subject: pre reports on your recommendations Comment: Dear ex-Senators Breax and Mack, From the news reports that I have read about your findings I am extremely dissappointed. I see that you will recommend nothing more than a tax-increase on the rich (more class-warfare nonsense). It is indeed sad that you have wasted everyone's time and taxpayer dollars to come up with this tepid non-sarter of a plan. I suspect that this is nothing more than a payback to the lobbyists (including many ex-congressmen)who reside on K-street and make their living gaming and manipulating the tax code for a handsome living. I am told that you came up with a version of the national retail sales tax that was flawed and then shot it down. I, for one am sick and tired of the mess of the IRS and the cumbersome tax code that does nothing but weigh down our economy. I am 100% in favor of the Fair Tax plan of John Linder and have already contacted my congressman and senators about supporting this plan that would completely remove low income earners from the tax rolls and unleash our economy as never before. I would love to see one of you debate Neal Boortz or John Linder on this plan but I am not holding my breath because your greatest ally is the ignorance of the American people. Why don't you try reading the Fair Tax book which was on the N.Y Times best seller list? Shame on you both for wasting our time and money to perpetuate a truly broken system.
