Subject: FairTax Comment: I believe our country not only should change our tax system but we must change it. The burden created by this monolithic system adds billions of dollars in overhead that has helped in a major way to reduce our national competitiveness. This has caused not only jobs to be moved overseas and now entire companies have chosen to move offshore. Our country consumes more goods than any other nation. What happens when our consumptive power is riddled with joblessness and our standard of living begins to mimic those of lesser industrialized nations? Don't wait until it's too late. Now is the golden opportunity. I am in favor of the FairTax proposal. I believe it offers the "keep it simple stupid" approach that can not make our products more attractive but would offer the incentive for corporations to return to our shores. Don't think that simplicity can't work! It can. |
