Subject: Our Nation Needs the Fair Tax Now Comment: Our founding fathers understood that the driving force of a free society is the economic and personal rewards of hard work. When my daughter got her first paycheck she was astounded that so much was whisked away in the form of payroll taxes. When I explained to her the reason for all these taxes, she said in typical teenage fashion “that’s not fair!” She was shocked to learn that her employer matched some of those taxes, and how that expense increased the cost of the goods and services they sold, reducing their profits and the likelihood of a raise for her. Double NOT FAIR! The Fair Tax, HR 25, is just that; fair to all Americans regardless of income. No one pays federal sales tax on the necessities of life, with a monthly rebate to all Americans. It taxes the huge underground economy, 20 million illegal aliens, and the illegal drug and porn industry just like everyone else. What could be more fair? It frees American companies to invest in America , bringing jobs back home and foreign investors beating a path to our shores to take advantage of our new business-friendly atmosphere. And it repeals the 16th Amendment, making it once again unconstitutional to impose an income tax on Americans, and disbanding the IRS. Forget the special interests and focus on the needs of our Nation, its people and the future of our children. I appeal to you to recommend the Fair Tax, HR25 to the President. |
