Subject: General and Tax Preference Comment: Dear Commision Members, I am an advocate of the National Sales Tax or Fair Tax.There are a number of people who avoid federal taxation and will continue to do so unless ALL consumers are made to pay tax! The present tax code is onerous,complex,convoluted and by taxing income it promotes the idea that the fruits of hard labor and enterprise belong to the government!This is WRONG!! A Fair Tax or National Sales Tax would eliminate the need for personal and corporate income taxes,withholding wages and separate payroll taxes for Soc.Security and Medicare to name a few deletions.It would also eliminate decades of additions,deletions,revisions,confusion,unfairness,disparity and total complexity. Should the Commission decide not to take a proactive, responsible and aggressive stand to recommend abolishing the malignant hydra-like tax code, I highly suggest the following recommendations be considered in your analysis: . require all legislation to include a Constiutional citation of authority in spending to reduce/eliminate the ever growing pork spending. .eliminate tax on dividends.The code distortions create a disincentive to pay dividends resulting in corporations chasing growth in stock prices as their only goal. .eliminate automatic spending on entitlement programs with approval. .privitize more government agencies and eliminate duplicative services existing among agencies. .review and reduce regulatory burdens which penalize business and prevent economic growth and prosperity. .make VERY clear that the current deficit situation is caused by spending and not by reducing/eliminating taxes. .make ALL health care spending tax-free for individuals to level the playing field. .free ALL savings from any taxation! .eliminate the tentacles of the AMT which was never indexed to inflation on real income and only leads to double taxation. .allow charitable donations without limiting specifications. .discontinue all tax on social security benefits. .allow business full deductions for capital investment to stimulate economic growth .allow ALL medical expenses to be credited/deducted. .allow individuals and business to deduct or credit volunteer hours spent assisting non-profit organizations and government services. .establish highest tax rate to 20%. .allow seniors 75 years and older to deduct 50% of their total tax for payment. .eliminate the death tax!
