Subject: Fair Tax Act Comment: As I'm sure you all know the tax system isn't working. I am 25 years old so I have several years of paying taxes ahead of me. The government has felt the need to confiscate my money at every turn to buy back a presidential yacht for 2 million dollars, spend 1.7 million dollars for fertilizer development and 1.4 million dollars for various halls of fame. Even with all this pork the country could still thrive if you took away all of our hidden taxes by enacting S./H.R. 25. It is not unfair to the lower class as all spending up to the poverty line is not taxed. Some people will put more money in savings which will make more money available for loans. Others will spend more of their money, which will stimulate the economy and produce more jobs while giving you the same amount of money to spend on pork bills. I realize that many politicians think they have a right to every dime I make, even if it isn't much, but maybe you should realize that you are actually taking peoples money and maybe it's time to do it in a more fair and beneficial way. |
